Sebastião Salgado- Allison Bills

Sebastião Salgado is much often referred to as a 'worldly photographer'. He has traveled in over 100 countries for his photographic projects. Salgado works on long term, self-assigned projects many of which have been published as books: The Other Americas, Sahel, Workers,Migrations and Genesis. The latter three are mammoth collections with hundreds of images each from all around the world.

I am very much interested/influenced in/by these photographs because they directly correlate with my particular passions as a photographer. Every photo has a significant history that is left up to the viewer to learn about. Stylistically these photos also appeal to me; they are interesting (mostly involving people) and show an immense amount of emotion behind each pair of eyes.
