Celine Clanet

Celine Clanet is a photographer based in Paris, France. She says of this series: "Between 2005 and 2009, I travelled regularly to Máze, a small Sami village located at the highest point of the European map, far above the Arctic Circle, in Norwegian Lapland. There, I met quiet people, sometimes melancholic, captivating, very proud of their village and territory, and of these landscapes they are constantly gazing at with binoculars..."

I really love how she chose to pair these images and juxtaposed the closeups of the villagers with the expansive landscapes. It shows how she spend time exploring the land, but also took the time to get to know the lives of the people living there.

Plus the guy in the first picture is a babe.
