Christopher Doyle.

I first found out about Christopher Doyle when I watched the film 'Chungking Express' earlier this year. Christopher Doyle is an Australian cinematographer that resides in Hong Kong.
His work really stood out to me when I first watched Chungking Express because I had never seen such vivid colour used in a film before.

His use of lighting, colour and depth of field creates an intense dream like reality which I really admire. 

His images are powerful and offer a lot to the films/music videos/short films that he works on. For those that haven't seen Chungking Express I recommend it just to check out his cinematography.
