Henri Cartier-Bresson

In my opinion, Henri Cartier-Bresson has some of the most successful "street" photography I've seen. He has a strong sense of geometry and a quick whimsical eye when he captures his subjects. I read that he would go out with his camera covered with a handkerchief or tape in order to be able to capture people in a true state. All of his images have a great deal of intention behind them, as you can see by the way every part of the frame is used to contribute to the image. And on that note- he was a huge believer in the idea that if your picture needed to be cropped then you didn't take the picture right. I'm really into this photographer's process because it calls for a lot more thinking/composing and a lot less shooting and hoping you'll catch something cool.
