I picked Henry's photography particularly for its use of strong diagonal lines. The expressiveness of the gestures and dynamic use of lighting caught my attention immediately. It appears he focuses either on this practice or else on an image's use of space and texture. Much of his photography is intentionally grainy.
The grain on the last one really enhances the kind of gritty scene. He's got some cool stuff. I went looking at his other images and I see what you're talking about about the diagonal lines. I think on most of them, the diagonal lines worked very nicely.
