Raghubir Singh
Raghubir Singh was an Indian photographer who started off self taught, and then by observing other photographers, primarily Cartier-Bresson, photograph. Unlike Cartier-Bresson, however, he decided that color film fit the aesthetic of his home country better. His work has been in several places including National Geographic, New York Times, Life, and more. His vibrant pictures definitely made me want to write about him because I think often its really easy to forget how important color is in my work when I'm concerned about subject, location and composition already.
