Lynn Johnson

Lynn Johnson has been a photojournalist for over 30 years, traveling to a myriad of different countries, reporting on issues from women's health to Avian Flu to hate crimes. Her photos are intensely personal,  as she is not afraid to get right in the thick of the ugliest parts of our society. Because the photos are taken so close, I get the sense of being right there next to the people, in these terrible places. She currently works for a nonprofit women's rights organization called Ripple Effect Images
