There is the sense that every picture Worsham made is very personal to her- by the content of the photograph as well as the titles she gives each. There is a sense of delicateness in the set up of each photograph, as if every possible detail was thoroughly considered. The clarity of the images beautifully captures the light and it is absolutely stunning. The depth of field is short making the focus on the subject in the foreground- however the background holds just as much importance even while not in focus. Her use of color give the foreground and background a fantastic balance.
Her photographs make me want to see more, to talk to the subjects, to study the photographs closely. They are so imploring of stories to be told. The way she makes each photo takes the viewers eyes through every part of it- never feeling bored or uninterested. Capturing light in this way is so aesthetically pleasing. The exposure seems to be centered, perhaps even a tad underexposed to give more contrast to the photos.
I am taken away by Worsham's work, and will strive to make photographs that can capture this sense of delicacy as she does.
