Susan Worsham's images have been my favorite so far. She does an excellent job of capturing color at just the right time. In the top image, the repetition of golds and oranges makes for an interesting composition. Also, the way the light and color peaks in the center of the image creates a natural frame for her subject, placing her at the center of the geometric window frame, as well as the softer frame of the sunlight on the wall and curtains.
The second image first interested me cause it was taken in Richmond. In most cases, this image might not be so interesting. While the antique nature of the building is interesting, without Worsham's timeliness in taking the image around dusk, the colors would not be as vibrant. Taking advantage of the natural sunlight, Worsham captures the vibrancy of reds, oranges and yellows in their prime. In addition, the pink area of the skyline frames the shapes in the images as well, adding to the interesting color repetition.
