ratcliffe- artist post

susan worsham

she uses a short depth of field for her portraits to draw attention to her subjects. She also might use selective focus. For her landscape shots she takes them at different times of the day to capture different colors of light. She also might do this with her portraits.

Her subjects are kind of creepy. She has photographs of blood stains, cemeterys, people with creepy expressions on their face. Nothing seemed  "normal" in her photography.

I think that her artistic choices were interesting and unique, but they don't appeal to me. Something about them creeped me out, which may be what she was hoping to accomplish!
