Alec Soth, like Richard, often take portraits alongside landscapes, leading me to believe he also uses a deep depth of field for his photos. However, I find his images more intriguing to look at because they are in color. Not necessarily that I think they are better, simply that they have more for me to process and therefore make them more interesting. The second photo on particular gives me a lot to think about not just in technique but also in content.
