Sierra Doucette- Weekly Artist Post

Alexi Hobbs

Alexi Hobbs focuses a lot on light and shadow in his photos. His photos are usually high contrast and for some it looks like he uses a slow shutter speed to and a low F-stop to make the photos seem blurry and softer.

His photos seem to capture moments in an ethereal or other-worldly way that makes his photos captivating and intriguing. Hobbs depicts the world in a way that seems unattainable or just out of reach by making the pictures appear slightly surreal, but not too far from reality.

I think his work is beautiful and interesting. I really like his manipulation of light and shadow and the softer appearance of the images.
