1.) I really like to take pictures of lights and shadows and its something I'm drawn to when making pictures.
2.) Sometimes even when the light meter is in the middle the picture will look too dark or too bright so in some cases its okay to have it be a couple notches above or below the middle.
3.) Assignments like this are a lot easier if you just take your camera with you everywhere you go. Even if I only got 15 pictures out of a trip, it was better than nothing and it helped me to find new scenes.
