Olof Jarlbro is a Swedish photographer who has published 3 books. He chooses to work entirely in black and white because he feels that it is more revealing because it all comes down to content and context instead of being able to intrigue with colour. His books are all shot on Kodak Tri-x Film. One of the things I really appreciate about his work is that he shot almost all of his pieces in Nepal and surrounding areas because he wanted to do more than just scrape the surface of where he was. I, personally, am not usually drawn to documentary photography or photojournalism, but I think his work reflects an almost intimate connection with his surroundings, which I respect.
