Andrew B. Myers
Andrew B. Myers has really caught my eye recently. His work is very subtly surreal. His use of color and composition bring a sense of unreality to each photo. Bold colors assault your eyes while the subject matter is just off-kilter enough to make you ponder about what he's really portraying. I am really not sure what it is about the photos but they give me the feeling as if the photographs themselves were actually drawn and created in Photoshop. He uses contrast skillfully. The actual contrast is low, but the colors contrast against themselves and create a sort of "haze" as if it was a transparent layer in Photoshop. Perhaps I'm just crazy/rambling.
