1.) Stanley Kubrick is an American Director and Photographer known for creating some of the greatest films of all time. He got his start as a photographer at the age of 17 by working for look magazine. He has the ability to capture drama and its in his photos we can see the makings of famous directorial style.
2.) I chose these images because they remind a lot of stills taken from films. Im drawn the drama of each shot. The lighting and canted angles in each shot add a lot of mystery to each. These photos are very inspiring to me as a filmmaker.
3.) These 3 photos do not belong to a full series. In these shots I believe Kubrick was trying to add more drama and style to his subjects. I think he was trying to develop creative ways of framing and depicting normal life but more flair. In his films later in life Kubrick would explore the Dark side of human nature.
