Robert Mapplethorpe

Robert Mapplethorpe rose to fame in the 1970's, initially with celebrity portraits. He later went on tos hoot male and female nudes, and released an X portfolio of gay S&M photographs. His most notable image was that of Patti Smith's album cover for her album Horses, which has been described as one of the most beautiful photographs of a woman ever taken.
