Arthur Leipzig was born in 1918 and is an American photographer that became well known for his street photographs of New York City. He was also a photojournalist that traveled across the world and contributed work to newspapers like
The Sunday New York Times,
Fortune, and
Parade.
He has had his work shown in many museums all around New York. He has permanent collections in the MoMA, The Brooklyn Museum, The National Portrait Gallery, The Jewish Museum, and others.
