Quentin Shih is a photographer/filmaker based in China. He is known well for his commercial and fashion photos, but his recent work is more fine art based. His work is very light based, for example his pieces featuring the neon lighting contrasted with the off screen colored lights creates a dynamic photograph. His framing and concepts within each one create dramatic photos that can stand alone very well.
Shih is very conscience of his set designs and very elaborate in his set ups. His fashion photography, while showcasing the clothing very well, also feature a specific style and aesthetic that flows and continues very well throughout all his work. All his photos use lighting to create different feelings and each photo sort of summons a different emotion.
