MATT STUART- Lexi Wilson

Matt Stuart is a street photographer that is constantly waiting to capture the way people live their lives. He uses at least a couple rolls a day, and never goes out of the house without his camera. Most of his work isn’t staged or digitally manipulated. He spends a great deal of time walking the streets trying to capture moments. On these walks, he tries to be quick and discrete so that he doesn’t miss an opportunity to capture a special moment.

Stuart is fascinated with the way people carry out their lives’ each day.  Much of his work is comical and light hearted. His pictures rely on a very specific moment of relationship between people/objects and their surroundings. He strives to make an honest picture that burrows deep in your memory.
