Don't know what to think about all this at first? Neither did I, but that apparent absurdity is exactly what Kurt Hollander wanted you to experience. These photos are from a "love motel" in Colombia called Motel Kiss Me where couples are offered a wide array of off the wall settings to partake in all kinds of... yea. As you can see, these settings are not what you or I would picture as romantic but that is just a testament to the wonderful differences in culture between here and Colombia. Kurt Hollanders intentions were, and I quote "to lift the veil on the fantasies and desires of others". Looking past the absurdity and possible in-sensitivities that these pictures possess, I can really respect the openness of the human mind and body that is displayed here. I think the actual reality behind these photos is what keeps my attention. Obviously the women are what draws the attention in initially but this project is most certainly more than smut, it is a reflection of a place of freedom. The article written about this project by Elyn Kail states that couples are offered a "glamorous getaway from the stresses of everyday life".
