1) Alec Soth is an artist from Minnesota. He is known for photographing the absurd side of the American Dream.....ETC
2) I chose these pictures because they seem to point at the underbelly of the American Love Industry. The naked couple are never represented in Pornography. The horse, a symbol of the great american cowboy and his thirst for westward expansion, is castrated. The dream, hence, is as well. In the final picture, a motel room with peeling wall paper and a tacky throw blanket, is decorated with heart shaped towels used, likely, hundreds of times over.
3) I am a child of divorce and i think love stinks.
