Vitor Schietti was born and raised in Brazil. He began his art career painting and taking photography. Early on he began to pain water colors over top of his photographs.

The chosen pictures above are created by taking a photograph and then applying other photographs of fireworks, flashlights, and other effects in a layer over the main image. Schietti was intrigued by friends who did light writing photography and wanted to experiment and make it his own.

These photos compelled me because they are good photographs without the manipulation. They could stand on their own without the quite extreme additions made to them. However, this made me think about art in terms of completion. When is a piece of art completed? How does one know if they don't take the piece to a further step.
