1.Which of the artists many technical choices are of interest to you and why?
When scrolling through Yestes Instagram, I was drawn to every image that had to do with water. He plays with his environment and adds that extra element which in this case is water. Each is a woman who is either submerged in the water or has used it in another unique way. He has them clothed in some form. The colors in each individual photograph are different and thought out. No idea with the water is the same.
2. What do you believe are the artists conceptual and/or thematic intentions?
Yeste's intention is to show that he can take an environment such as a living room, and add water to it. He wants to also show how uses color, not just of the clothes or models, but the hues of the water. Every element is different in how he executes these images. There might be two photos in the location of a pool, but they are both so opposite that it works.
3. How do you personally respond to these choices and intents?
Personally I was very intrigued by these pictures because I have never seen someone use a space like he does. I know none of these are underwater images but it makes me want to explore that area more. I never thought to play with the actual color of the water only the clothing. He has taught me a lesson to really look at every element in you're environment that is given to you.
