Ellie Davies is a photographer who lives in London, England. She focuses her work on the woods and forests of Southern England. Her work is mainly filled with various shades of greens, and blues, along with other natural colors that are in nature.
What drew me to Ellies work is the bright, white smoke that seems to somewhat engulf the trees. All three images show different forests at various times of the day where smoke has either been run through, slowly disappearing, or getting worse by the second. It seems as though the photographer is trying to show how pollution is slowly destroying the beauty of nature. What was once a bright area, is now a gray area, not really knowing what is behind it and whether it is good or bad.
I'm actually not much of an environmentalist or a "tree hugger" but I do love going out and looking at nature. Knowing that areas such as the ones depicted in these pictures are/may soon be destroyed, it is heartbreaking.
