Malanga is one of Warhol's most prominent super stars from 1963-1970. In the beginning he assisted in Warhol's silk screens, and later went on to star in many of his films. He is also known for his poetry, which he read aloud during Warhol's films. In his photographs he sought out people who were rarely photographed in normal situations.
